THE ESCAPE

Description

Full view please! Not yet completed.
Photos of me belong to me.
The tree looks terrible I know, I am still cleaning it up, it is the most time consuming part so I'm leaving it last to complete so don't mind it's terrible bits of sky lying around ^^'

This is my first ever photo-manipulation, critique and suggestions are very welcome, please be gentle :)

This is titled "THE ESCAPE", and the general gist of it is that even though the apple may not fall far from the tree, once it has fallen, it's as free as a bird as long as it isn't sitting in the one spot, rotting away.
I'll explain more as I complete it (I will update this continuously as I progress, so please stop by every now and then :))

I think this is the single most beautiful piece of photomanipulation I've ever seen, and I suddenly realised that I've never come across a photomanip before that has true meaning behind it other than being a pretty picture (unless there has been meaning and the artist/s simply haven't said).
It says in the description that it's not complete; did you ever finish this, or is the one uploaded now complete? (Because I know you sometimes update deviations rather than submit a whole new one, and I ask because I'm not quite sure what you would add to this to "finish" it.)
I love the whole symbolism behind everything, your use of metaphor is really interesting but also really effective...this probably sounds weird and I don't want to offend anyone in any way, but I think it's amazing how such beautiful artworks can be created from such hard and difficult times...it's like you take the absolute worst of things and literally turn it into something beautiful. It's empowering, I think.
Great work <3
