The way you did the background makes me think of the Green Man (Probably because of the leaf shapes.) Is it a fractal? Eyes can be a pain :C But I think you drew them well here <:
Yup, it's a quick forced 4 sided fractal ^^ Looking back at this I can see I simply didn't make her eyelids curvy enough. I do like her overall, I think I'd like to see myself do more paints like this in the future.
Thankyou! I could have added more to her and included her ponytails but I didn't want to take anything away from the face.
In some ways realism is easier because it's more mimicking reality than actually incorporating your own style. I was so surprised that this took such less time in comparison to an anime style drawing. The time it took me to do this (plus render the fractal), I would have only done some final lineart on an anime/manga drawing.
That is true, practice makes perfect Its really hard to tell what you could have done better, only thing I can think of is that the eyes might still have been a little too big for realistic, but thats kinda hard to tell as in real life people have different proportions, but if you think a perfect circle around the edges of the eyes to simulate like how big they are without the eyelids, theyr really big. Otherwise the eyes look really good!
You're exactly right, I have no idea why I drew her eyes in that shape, it was kind of bad. I swear I never realise these things until I've finished colouring. Oh well, I'll TRY to keep that in mind next picture I draw but jeez, I always forget
Thanks so much for your support and advice, it's good to be able to see my art through the eyes of other people.
This is interesting, but for some reason it creeps me out!! Technique seems to be good and you've done a wonderful job on making the eyes realistic. All in all a great job... doesn't make it any less creepy to me though.
Oh no! I didn't mean to make her look creepy! D: Lol, it's probably because her eyes are wide and gazing and quite contrasted in comparison to her pale skin Thanks so much, I enjoyed it and the fact it was literally 3 times faster to complete than a standard anime style drawing makes me keen to try this style more often.
